Central Europe
Central European University Fellowship Programme
Each academic year, the Central European University, a US degree awarding institution of post-graduate study and research located in Central Europe (Budapest and Warsaw) awards 700 tuition and stipend packages in the form of a full CEU fellowship or partial financial aid.
China
Tsinghua University, a leading university in China, offers Master and Doctoral programs to international students, covering sciences, engineering, social sciences and humanities. Nine of the Master programs are offered in English, and the others are offered in Chinese or bilingually in Chinese and English. Full scholarships and partial scholarships are open to international students.
To apply for full scholarships from the Chinese Government, the application materials shall be directed to China Scholarship Council through Chinese embassies in the home country of the applicant. Detailed information is available on the website of China Scholarship Council.
Denmark
Anglo-Danish Society Awards
Awards for students of Danish nationality for scholarships tenable at universities or other approved institution in the UK, with a first degree from a Danish university.
In all cases preference will be given to applicants who have either embarked on postgraduate research leading to a higher degree (normally a PhD), or who are assured of being able to do so in the academic year following submission of their application.
Germany
British Chamber of Commerce in Germany Foundation Scholarship
Since its formation in Germany in 1983, the Foundation has been providing scholarships to German students eager to pursue their studies in the UK. The BCCG Foundation seeks to promote cultural relations between the two countries. Successful students receive a one-off scholarship award together with a free flight ticket.

DAAD Scholarships
Are you interested in studying or carrying out research at a German university?DAAD (Deutscher Akadmischer Austausch Dienst/German Academic Exchange Service), a private, publicly funded, self governing organisation of higher education institutions in Germany, offers funding for study and research in Germany. Grants are available for all academic levels of study.
DAAD grants are available to academic staff and students in the United Kingdom to participate in a wide variety of academic programmes. Applicants must normally be citizens of the UK and Ireland.

European Scholarship
The Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst is a German protestant church foundation offering scholarships to European students studying in Germany. Eligible applicants should speak an advanced level of German. There are two closing dates for these on going scholarships: 1 March for winter terms; 1 September for summer terms.

Instituto Ling Fellowship
This is an annual fellowship program for Brazilian citizens with entrepreneurial spirit and leadership skills to contribute to the Brazilian economic, social and cultural development. To be eligible applicants must have Brazilian citizenship and be able to demonstrate financial need.
The fellowships can be used for full time MBA courses, and consist of a partial fellowship covering up to one third of the course costs. The fellowships are only available for the beginning of the second half of the course.

Cornell Club of London Summer School Programme
The Cornell Club of London is again able to sponsor a UK student to attend the six-week summer school at Cornell University in 2009.

Each Fellowship is at least $23,000 plus tuition and a health insurance fee per annum. Travel is not included, but in cases of severe hardship applications can be made to Harvard for financial assistance towards travel costs.

In 1965 the Kennedy Memorial Trust set up a fund to enable UK graduates to study in the United States.

The scholarships are tenable for one year and will next be awarded for the 2010/11 academic session. In certain circumstances, students applying for a two year masters programme or a PhD may be considered for extra funding to help support a second year of study.
Each scholarship covers air fares to and from the US, tuition fees, plus a stipend of $22,000 for living costs.

Thouron Awards
Up to ten Thouron Awards are available for UK students wishing to undertake a postgraduate programme at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. Established in 1960's these awards have sponsored programs of graduate study for more than 650 fellows, known as Thouron Scholars.
Up to ten Thouron Awards are available for UK students wishing to undertake a postgraduate programme at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA. Established in 1960's these awards have sponsored programs of graduate study for more than 650 fellows, known as Thouron Scholars.
The Thouron Award provides full funding (approximately $60,000) for up to two years. This covers tuition fees and stipend costs, plus it provides students with the opportunity to travel in America.
Candidates must be British citizens normally resident in the UK who have followed a UK secondary school education in the UK. They must be qualified to pursue a postgraduate course of study at the University of Pennsylvania. The course must be wholly located at the University of Pennsylvania and lead towards a degree or equivalent. Postdoctoral candidates are ineligible unless their proposed study is in a field different from that in which they undertook their previous university degree. No application will be considered from a candidate already in the United States.
Applications for courses and programmes at the University of Pennsylvania are made separately from applications for Thouron Awards.Candidates intending to apply for a Thouron Award should contact the relevant Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania to obtain application forms and information about entrance procedures including admission requirements. The application deadlines for courses and programmes vary and must be adhered to.
