The Bauhaus scholarship enables outstanding post-doctoral researchers to advance their university career through a new research project. With the scholarship, the university patronizes for the period of 12 months innovative ideas, which picks up on the main research of the faculties and complements it. The amount of the scholarship is 1.850,00 Euro monthly.
Awarding Criteria
The requirement is an excellent PhD. The scholarship awarding committee decides according to the quality and the prospect of success of the project. The Post-Doc project must reveal a relevance to the existing main research of the Bauhaus-Universität and at the same time it should enrich this with a unique approach.

Application and Selection Procedure
Applicants must submit their documents by May 15th, 2009. The decision for the awarding of the scholarships is carried out by the awarding committee. The funding usually begins on October 1st.

A public university presentation of the project, an involvement in the doctoral tuition at the Bauhaus Research School and a final report is expected from the sponsored Post-Docs.
The application must be sent per email with the application in PDF format. The following documents must be included in your application:
- Personal data sheet (CV)
- Copies of graded reports
- Project outline including a summary, an overview of research, questions and methods as well as selective bibliography (max. of 10 pages)
- Detailed project timeline
- Reference list with the names of 2 university professors
