THE 125TH ANNIVERSARY RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS - ARTS AND HUMANITIES

The 125th Anniversary Research Scholarships

To celebrate our 125th anniversary, Bangor University is launching a five year programme of postgraduate expansion. This starts in 2009/10 when we will invest around £5M in up to 125 research studentships and bursaries.

The new Scholarships scheme offers opportunities to the very best students to work with our leading academics and rising stars. This investment in research scholarships forms part of the University's strategy to grow research excellence, and to further enhance our dynamic research environment.

The latest Research Assessment Exercise shows we are one of a limited number of universities with world leading research in all of our assessed subject areas. This confirms the University's all-round research excellence.

The majority of the Bangor 125th Anniversary Scholarships will be fully funded, covering all fees for three years plus an annual maintenance allowance. A number of research scholarships will also be available for outstanding international students.

In addition, there are a large number of Bursary awards worth £6,500 a year and a variety of targeted awards.

The University consists of six Colleges, offering world class resources in the area below:
Arts and Humanities

We are also keen to support innovative projects which straddle disciplinary or College boundaries, and welcome applications from outstanding students from the UK, EU and Internationally.
