University of Glasgow Postgraduate in Law, Business & Social Sciences

The Faculty of Law, Business and Social Sciences at the University of Glasgow is internationally recognised as a leader in research and the provision of top-quality taught Masters degrees.
Established in 1451, the University of Glasgow is one of the UK’s oldest and most prestigious higher education institutions and recognised as one of the top 100 Universities in the world.
The Faculty comprises the Departments of Accounting & Finance; Central & East European Studies; Centre for Drug Misuse Research; Economic & Social History; Economics; School of Law; Management; Politics; Sociology, Anthropology & Applied Social Sciences; Urban Studies and the Business School. It also hosts a number of Research Centres, including the Adam Smith Research foundation which awards Ph.D scholarships.

GRADUATE SCHOOL
The Graduate School provides an excellent environment in which to pursue postgraduate research and training. High quality labs and study space are available. The various training courses and research opportunities on offer establish a first-rate grounding for those wishing to develop their research skills by working in one of the UK’s top research Faculties. All its Departments are ‘recognised’ by the UK’s major social science focused Research Council (ESRC) as able to offer rigorous and up-to-date training in the full-range methodological skills.
It provides a lively and supportive environment for new postgraduate students giving them opportunities to engage with others from a wide variety of disciplines, backgrounds and nationalities. Pastoral care, student monitoring and support are also important elements of the Graduate School. In addition to comprehensive university support services, the Faculty also has a dedicated International Officer to offer advice and support to all students from outside the UK.Funding information.
