Self-supporting international students with nationalities other than Japanese, coming to Japan to study, and enrolled in the master’s or doctoral course of the graduate school (includes those who will be enrolled in the master’s or doctoral course in April 2009).

- Those receiving a scholarship or will receive a scholarship are not eligible to apply.
- Under 30 years of age for master’s students and under 32 years of age for doctoral students as of April 1, 2009. Scholarship amount per month: 100,000 Yen Scholarship granted for a period: Within 12 months from April 2009 to March 2010. (Scholarship for April and May will be provided in May)

Applicants are expected to abide by the deadline and submit application on time.Selection result will be notified to the university and applicants after documents screening and interview (held at the end of April 2009). Documents to be submitted:
Private scholarship record (financial details). Following documents need not be submitted on February 10, 2009 (Tue). Students nominated by our graduate school will receive information from the International Student Section. Only then must they submit the following: Application form (with one photograph attached, upper body, 5× 3.5cm), Resume, Private and Family statement, Research plan, Financial Situation Report, Enrollment Certificate (those will be enrolled must submit the notification of acceptance), Academic record certification (of the present and previous course, Original), Recommendation Letter by the supervising professor, Report (one page of A4-sized paper, style-free, about those willing to contribute to international understanding and friendship.)
