The aim of our joint graduate programme is to train outstanding graduate students from the social sciences and economics disciplines in the field of labour market and occupational research. The postdoctoral scholarship provides the opportunity to participate in a dynamic working environment, to conduct collaborative research, and to study innovative research topics. Access to excellent micro data in the fields of employment and social security is granted.The monthly scholarship ranges from € 1,365 to € 1,467 depending on age. It is initially offered for one year but may be extended for up to a total of two years. In addition, € 103 per month are paid for non-personnel expenses such as travelling costs. IAB provides office space, computer resources and a mentor who offers professional support and guidance if necessary.
What we expect
Applicants should be highly motivated with an enthusiasm for academic research and indepth knowledge of empirical and theoretical issues of labour market research. Furthermore, we expect the successful candidate to participate in the intellectual life of the Graduate Programme, joining graduate student workshops and advising students in the programme.
Applicants will only be considered if they hold a PhD in economics or social sciences or if they are close to receiving their PhD. The application should include a covering letter outlining your research interests, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, university certificates, and references.
